Clarification for Attendance to North Muskegon and WMC Conference Games
Clarification for Attendance to North Muskegon and WMC Conference Games
To help clear up some confusion about the West Michigan Conference’s policy on dual household families, here is the policy:
Each athlete is allowed to invite two guests to each contest, home or away.
In a two household family, each parent will be allowed to attend the game with one guest. This is to allow for step parents to be able to attend games with their spouses.
Examples:
Parents cannot attend a game, but grandma and grandpa attend. OK any time.
Mom attends a game with her husband/partner while dad attends with his wife/partner. OK in a dual household
Dad attends with one grandparent and mom comes with another guest. OK in a dual household.
The only exception to the two guests per player rule is if each parent from a dual household attends with a separate guest.
Examples that would NOT be OK even with a separate household:
Dad attends with spouse and brother brings a guest because mom will not be attending.
Mom brings a guest and grandparents come in place of dad who is not attending.
The conference adopted this policy so students athletes would not have to make choices between which parent to invite to games, not to give certain families four passes to use as they want.
It is the hope of the conference that health department restrictions will allow for more people to attend games before the end of the season, but at this time we must adhere to the policy of the MDHHS, the MHSAA and the WMC, Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

What is a Norsement Athletic Ticket?
- A ticket is a requirement for all athletes to have before the first practice of the season.
- A ticket is a “checklist” of items needed for the Athletic Office.
- Items needed to receive a ticket are a Physical, Concussion Form and a Pay to Participate Fee.
- Once all items are turned in, the student/athlete will receive a copy of the ticket to give to their coach. Tickets are required each season.
- Tickets must be completed by the first practice/tryouts to participate.
- Athletes will give completed tickets to coaches by the first practice/tryout.
- If you have all forms turned in from the Fall or Winter Season, you still need a ticket for the Spring Season.
Athletic Boosters Scholarship Fund
The North Muskegon Athletic Boosters has made the Athletic Department a generous donation to be used for students struggling to pay their participation fees. The legitimacy of how the fund is to be used is overseen by a committee of the Athletic Director, High School Principal and the Superintendent.
If you would like to make a donation to support the North Muskegon Athletic Boosters Scholarship Fund, please feel free. Your tax deductible donation will help support student/athletes with their Pay to Participate Fees.
You can donate by stopping in the Superintendent’s Office or by mailing a check. Please make a note on your check “NM Athletic Boosters Scholarship Fund”.
Thank you for your continuing support of North Muskegon Athletics.

The preseason down time distinguishes the preseason activity from the actual start of tryouts or practices. Only non-sport specific conditioning/weight training or individual skill development work with no more than three players is permitted during this time.
